Martyn Brown working with Double Eleven

Martyn Brown, who has spent 25 years in the games industry and co-founded one of the UK’s brightest independent studios, is now lending his widespread experience to Double Eleven. Having recently began his own independent consultancy business, Martyn, a personal friend of Lee, CEO of Double Eleven, has come on board to assist with the continued growth and development of the company.

“I am incredibly chuffed to assist, advise and help inspire Double Eleven, who are hands-down one of the most exciting, driven and highly capable development teams I’ve had the fortune to meet in years. I have absolutely no doubt that Double Eleven will be amongst the UK’s most high-profile and successful development studios within a very short space of time” Martyn Brown.

Lee Hutchinson offered “We're really looking forward to Martyn's assistance. Everything at Double Eleven has been going so fast for us that it's hard to keep track of things at times. Martyn's experience and expertise are no doubt going to help keep things running smoothly as we look towards future plans for development of our own IP.”

Martyn begins working with Double Eleven this week.

New Employee - Wayne Smithson

The Double Eleven code team expands with the addition of the massively experienced Wayne Smithson.  Working in the industry since 1985, Wayne has over 25 years of programming under his belt.  Developing on some of the games and gaming hardware many of us remember playing on as kids, Wayne has grown up alongside our favourite entertainment medium.  There are few sides of development he’s not taken a role in, including management and production, but focusing on programming at Double Eleven, we’re sure he’ll be a considerable benefit to our code base.  Welcome aboard, Mr. Smithson.

New Employee - Lee Cherry

Lee Cherry joins our IT team as Systems Administrator. Coming from the University of Huddersfield’s BSc(Hons) Computer Games Programming course, Lee has game development experience too; five nominations at the GameRepublic Student Showcase 2010 prove his abilities. Lee’s background in everything IT dates back far before his course also. We’re confident that this background will help him tailor our set-up to suit our needs better. Welcome aboard, Mr. Cherry.
