Double Eleven welcomes two new team members

Double Eleven welcomes a new Technical Director and Senior Programmer to the fold.

Rob Ware, having accepted a role as Technical Director, has been in the industry since 2002, working previously as a lead engineer at both Rare and Rockstar Leeds. Mark Bryant, previously from Rare joins our networking team.

Rob comments “The skills I hope to bring are a wide range of technological interests, programming experience over many disciplines, and a love of prototyping new technology. I can't wait to see what we can all achieve together - the sky's the limit!”

“People are the stars of our business, they create the value we offer. Finding new stars is ultimately about finding the right fit, for both sides. Rob and Mark bring an immense amount of ability and experience to the team, and we are delighted to have them on board.” Said Mark South, COO at Double Eleven.

Mark Bryant comments “I have moved to Double Eleven to help develop and be apart of a premier British game development company.”

Double Eleven is one of the UK’s brightest technical development studios, founded by former Rockstar Leeds lead-engineers. Currently, Double Eleven is developing the technology driving LittleBigPlanet on PS VITA.

Our Games

The original Frozen Synapse was released in 2011, developed by indie studio Mode 7. It has since sold over 430,000 copies and received great critical acclaim, reaching an incredibly respectable score of 85 on Metacritic - including five stars from The Escapist and 9/10 from Edge.

We saw it as an excellent title to bring to PSN. Its revolutionary play style works exceptionally well in multiplayer, offering a whole new competitive model that is perfect for the Vita. Users can play multiple games concurrently, making it unlike any other online experience on the platform.

The single-player campaign has a deep and engrossing storyline and works as a great introduction to the skirmish and PvP modes. We believe it’s a great all-round game. Some of our team were playing it on lunch breaks before Mode 7 and ourselves had even began speaking about the potential for working on this project.

We don’t want to give too much away on what we plan to do with it, but ‘Frozen Synapse: Tactics’ is not simply a transition of the original onto console; we will be giving it a complete Double Eleven makeover.

It’s scheduled for release later in 2013, so keep an eye on our website and Facebook and Twitter pages for updates.

About Us

What We Do

Double Eleven is an indie-friendly developer and publisher of video games, exclusively for the PlayStation Network. We look for developers of successful games and then help them realise their creations on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

We have a tremendous amount of development experience, which differentiates us from other publishers. This translates to a team that not only understands your game, but one that can really make your IP stand out on the Sony consoles; looking and playing its best. We’ve been doing it for years, and have some fantastic titles under our belts to prove it!

The bottom line? We create relationships with developers and other partners that play to each of our strengths, where the outcome is beneficial to everyone.

Our Ethos

The staff at Double Eleven consists of some of the UK’s finest. There’s a huge amount of talent and experience here from all levels of the games industry. Through hard work, integrity and solidarity, we are able to use that experience to create great games that people enjoy.

Our people create the value in our business, so investing in them is simply good business sense. From comprehensive compensation packages, career development planning and a transparent management structure, to entertainment facilities, extensive staff benefits and days out, we aim to ensure everyone believes there is no better place to work.
