PUD – Verdict

We all had fun at Codeworks’s PUD event last night. Kay looked great as suspected and the Narnia theme was pretty, if a little restricted to just the entrance of the event. A full venue swallowed up the bar tab a bit too quickly for my liking, but at least Lineker’s outrageous drink prices made me feel all nostalgic of my years living in London.

Being the more global networking event that it was, we unfortunately found few links to the games industry present - how many “web developers” are there in the north?! - but we still met some interesting folk and enjoyed the evening. The buffet was delicious also; an important factor in my eyes....and stomach.

“Uncertain of his sister’s fate, a boy enters Limbo.”

Limbo is an award-winning puzzle platform game based around a little boy and his mission to find his sister, battling through a forest on the “edge of hell” and encountering an array of monsters on his journey.

The game was originally released in 2010, developed by Danish indie studio Playdead, receiving rave reviews from the likes of Edge, a 9/10 from IGN and an impressive score of 88 on Metacritic.

Naturally we were keen to bring such a critically acclaimed title to the Vita; with such a unique storyline and scary but beautiful graphics, we felt honored to be the first team to work on it externally.
